The 2008 Summer Season is over, and it was a wonderful success.
Two large audiences came out for an evening of fun.  Opening with
African Processional
, the African drumming ensemble entered from the
back of the hall playing authentic African instruments.  Following the opener,
the audience was able to participate by clapping rhythms, led by the
lead drummers.  Another highlight was the children's choir, directed
by David & Arien Harper.  Their rendition of If You're Happy and You Know It
(with a South LA twist) was a hit!  The rest of the program included choir and
concert band selections of various styles including the tango, polka, march,
Spanish, Motown, stage & screen and spiritual.  We thank our members,
advertisers, FACE, children's choir, and of course our audience for the
an enjoyable season!

The 2007 Summer Program was a tribute to our great country.

It opened with a visit from one of our nation's founding fathers,
then musically traversed the 231 years of American history --
featuring traditional, patriotic, swing, Broadway,
classical, and a few surprises! A highlight of the concert
was a performance by the ECCBC Children's Choir, singing
Take Me Out to the Ballgame.
